Constable Mark Vojvodich is the son of a Major General US Air Force Mele Vojvodich and his mother Ellie Vojvodich, he grew up in a military family traveling to 22 states and countries by the age of 18.
Mark enlisted in U.S. Air Force is 1976 where he was assigned in Kunsan AFB Korea, Japan, Germany and Lackland AFB serving as a military working dog handler and trainer. While in the Air Force reserve, Mark also worked out of the San Antonio Police Department in the Armed Forces Police Detachment. Mark also served in the U.S. Army National Guard in Counter-Intelligence enjoying his service with other citizen-soldiers as part of the 49Th Armored Division. In 2005/06 Mark both taught Iraqi police officers in Baghdad and functioned as the logistics officer for the Baghdad Police College area located next to FOB Shield in Baghdad.
As a peace officer, Mark has over 7300 training hours and holds a Bachelor’s degree from Wayland Baptist University. Mark is an active polygraph examiner; one of only 240 such licensed examiners in Texas and attended the Texas Department of Public Safety Polygraph School basic and advanced examiner courses. As an adjunct professor to the Alamo Community College, Mark previously taught academic criminal justice courses at the San Antonio College and taught police cadets as an instructor in the basic peace officer academy. Mark holds almost every certification available to peace officer including basic peace officer, Intermediate peace officer, advanced peace officer, master peace officer, instructor and as a field sobriety testing practitioner.
In his free time, Mark served on multiple appointments by the Texas Supreme Court of Texas as the Chairman of the Private Process Servers Review Board Disciplinary Committee, serves as the law enforcement coordinator on his HOA, as board member on his church advisory board and is the Vice-President of the South Texas Justice of the Peace and Constable’s Association. Mark maintains licensing as an HVAC professional and as an amateur radio operator as part of keeping lifelong skills active. Mark enjoys SCUBA diving, teaching, reading and electronics as a hobby when not working.
